    A/C compressor will not engage.

Anyone know where the low pressure cutoff switch is located on my 2000 PreRunner 2.7L? I fear I am out of R-134 but I want to test the capabilities of the electrical system to engage the compressor.

Also, I've read some places that you can get the evap core out of the dash without going all in and pulling the entire dash and tube support. True?

So I get a new OEM evap core from a dealer in FL via ebay. Came with what I think is damage, but some type of stamp "A" in the area of the damage. What do you guys think? Should I use it or send it back?

I think I would send that back unless it was an extremely low bargain deal. And unless the seller guarantees it was tested not to leak plus the seller has a very lengthy and positive feedback rating.

Could be only the external cooling fins bent, but how do you know whether the internal tubing is also damaged or weakened somehow?

It's not a low bargain deal. It was purchased from a Toyota dealership with full warranty as a brand new item. I'm thinking it goes back. No way I want to do an evap core job twice!

Dealer is sending out a new one. Toyota of Tampa Bay. Great prices for OEM Toyota stuff on ebay.

Now for the fun. Evap core replacement. Doesn't look too tough.
