I have a 06 4x4 ext 4.0 Tacoma 6 speed and it is NOT a prerunner and i was wondering if this lift has been done on a truck like mine I have like a 400 dollar budget just for lift so I wanted to just put the 2 shocks in front...I would also like to like to put a 2.5 inch with aal 1.5 inch...but won't be able to get bigger tires til about July...I am only 16 and my job is on the summer about 300 bucks a weeks and 50% of that will be going towards my truck...any response is good...thanks

OP, do the aal first. Carry around some weight if it's too tall. Then do the front with 5100 s. Your truck will look good and be functional.

5100's in the front @ 1.75 with a 2in AAL in the rear and 5100's or OME shocks and you will be golden and right around 400 bucks.

Front 5100's are adjustable. He's saying to set them at 1.75" in the front, and the AAL will give you 2" in the rear.
