    Little closer look..I've always liked the white lettering look. I think I might get the new kos..all the other tires I was looking at do not carry white lettering..I switched over from duratracs..

    This is not accurate. The sidewall for both BFG tires are 3 plys. Those have to do with the number of plys for the thread.
    C = 6ply
    D = 8ply
    E = 10ply

    Any of them can have either 2ply or 3ply sidewalls. The older Duratracs in size 285/75/16 have 3 ply sidewalls. Goodyear has since changed them to only having a (in my opinion) weaker 2ply sidewall.

    White out looks good until the tires age and the white fades. About to have mine switched to black out.

    E rated tires on my small light truck is obnoxious as beyond overkill.

    I am glad I tried a C this time around and will do whatever it takes to only run C from now on even if that means going to a 17 inch wheel.

    D would be ideal but I can only seem to find them in stock size or smaller.

    usually yes, I get the same effect from my C rated at 20-25 psi as I did with my old E rated at 15 psi.

    Also the ride is smoother with my C rated over the E

    All 3 tires I have run in the last 6 years have been 265/75/16

    BFG AT KO E rated: july 09-Jan 2011, lasted 25k miles and had to replace 2 along the way. (Terrible Tire)

    BFG MT KM2 E rated: Jan 2011-Jan 2013, Lasted 40k miles (Amazing Tire)

    Wrangler Duratracs C rated: Jan 2013 - Current, Has 20k and going strong. (Amazing Tire)

    This is also not accurate. C, D and E rating have absolutely nothing to do with the number of ply layers anywhere on the tire. The tread does not have 6, 8 or 10 ply layers either. In fact pretty much all tires have at most three ply layers these days. The 6, 8 and 10 numbers are just synonyms for C, D and E load ratings relating back to the number of ply layers used in ancient bias ply tires.

    Direct quote from Tire Rack's tech info:

    Discount tire has a similar write up as well.

    You have to ask this? White letters in of course. If they get mounted any other way you should fire your tire installer ;)

    I ran these through southern Utah last week and am quite pleased. At low pressures, these deform far better than the KOs. Also, after 300+ miles of dirt, absolutely zero chunking

    What pressure is everyone running there tires at? I set mine at 30 cold like the door sticker says. When I picked it up from getting them installed they had 50 in them and the ride was horrible.
