Yeah, I couldn't believe it. It was just lying there on the side of the road and I picked up thinking, oh this looks like one of mine. Weird.
Walked home and did a quick inspection of my tires and sure enough, one was missing. And seriously, I'd just checked them all a couple days ago.

    Yeah it is.
And I have a good torque wrench, which is why I couldn't believe it came off. I tightened them all real good and always check them after driving a bit

I think what Jefe's getting at is that maybe someone tried to steal your wheels or something else sinister. You may want to get locking lugs if you don't have them already.

Or someone saw you tightening them and thought it would be "funny" to loosen one or more.

Does not make sense. I've never lost a tightened lug nut. Even after new wheels and they say to check them after a 100 miles or something. They've ALWAYS been tight.

I assume you checked them all after you found the lug? And found no others loose?

I have spline lugs, not locking I know, but makes it more difficult anyways.
I doubt it. Not where I live. I checked them all after and all seemed tight, so I guess it was just some random thing. I'm gonna keep an eye on them for the next few days real close, then go back to my weekly checks.

Decided to clean up the wires, ballast, and monocontrol and make the engine bay look clean. Took three days to get this to work, lot of re-wiring. Thanks for Burt for all his help with talking through a little issue I came across.
