All I had to do was tuck that part into the plastic, I didn't have to remove that part... Now on the rear, I've got a little bunching in the front, can't seem to get it worked out. It either goes in the front or on the sides so I just left it in the front for now.

I saw the clips and I was afraid I would break something so I left the plastic trim in place. I also tucked the cover under the plastic. Since I removed the bolts I tilted the seat backwards and pulled the cover further under the plastic and tweaked it until tight and smooth. I was able to get the rear smooth too but it did take a bit more effort.

Mine came in today. Pretty sweet. I will install them tomorrow with pics. Btw, did anyone get 09 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Copy 0580 (Sport Bucket w/h.r. Air Bag) despite having a 2010 or higher TRD Off-Road on their invoice? Mine is a 2015 TRD Off-Road.

Mine came in yesterday, and install was a breeze with the front seats removed. Didn't know if it was necessary, but I showed some caution and disconnected the battery before disconnecting the air bag wires. I also removed the plastic trim from the sides of the seats for a nice clean fit. The only issue I have is that the seat slide bar barely has enough room to move fully up on the driver's side. I might make some adjustments to clear that up, but it so rarely gets used I may just leave it. I like the fit of the cover how it is.

I see you got huskys floor mat. Smart move; I have them too. Anyways, do you have to disconnect the air bags to put the covers on? Is it mandatory?

Yeah I really like the Husky's.

I disconnected the air bags because I removed the seats from the truck completely. I'm sure you could just tilt the seats back and just leave them plugged in. Hell, people even install them without unbolting the seats!

The amount of time it took to unhook the battery and unclip the air bag connections (1 minute) was definitely worth it for the ease of installing the covers on the tailgate!

Took about 2 hours because one of the bolts for the rear seat wouldn't go back in at first. Nicely made seat coverss, didn't need much help from the instructions.

I removed the seats and did some detailing. The strap on the left side of the driver side and the right one on the passenger side are cinch down tight. At the stitching, the fabric is tugged down a bit, I wonder if overtime if it will become a problem.

Hey all, some great tips for installation here. Thanks!!!

Also, I received both the center console cover and treatment kit free with my order. I know some people only received one or the other. I am not going to use the center console cover, so if someone is interested in having it please PM me. I only ask you pay the shipping for it, which I think will be around $7 for USPS Priority Mail. I have Paypal. Thanks!!!

Not very happy at all with the OEM Map Flaps on the rear of bucket seats. They are really loose and just sag almost to the rear bench seat when stuff (like a map) is in the pockets. Would advise whoever sees this post to think twice about getting them....

You mean Wet Okole map pockets, not OEM.

    That sucks.

I took that side panel off of my seats and wrapped the seat covers. Looks a lot cleaner, and I still have access to my seat back adjustment lever. I would suggest you try that also.

There is one screw at the back of that cover, and if you look under the seat you can see two other clips securing it to the seat frame. There is also one clip that can't be seen from underneath that is at the front side of the seat back hinge. A firm tug popped mine out easily, although the first side I did broke because I didn't know it was there...

About the "OEM style" map pockets- I wasn't very impressed with mine either. They sag a bit without anything in them...

I was just thinking the other day I wish I had gotten the map pockets. Looking at the results, now I'm glad I didn't. That's terrible.

Was thinking the same intially. Wanted to keep the pockets but instead got the mesh sport pocket for the passenger side seat only (since that's the seat my kid sits behind and he likes to stash stuff) and those pockets are awesome. No sag, lots of storage.
