Not here in GA. The young as well as old are driving Tacoma’s. 3 neighbors have Tacoma’s. All under 30. I also see all kinds of folks driving the tacoma on the Hwy.

Virtually identical save for that and the uptick in rear window. The 2016 is slightly more dramatic.

    Just the basics
I hadn't seen that comparison shot. It does highlight the minutia.

Well part of the reason they say that is so that old people feel like the truck will make them look younger. They think, "well I'm young at heart"...

Odd that Toyota still has that goofy crossover exhaust. What makes it even goofier is the bottom of the exhaust tube is flattened so it's the same clearance off the ground as the front crossmember. If the crossover tube wasn't flattened it would hang lower than the front crossmember.

Basically same here. 95% of the Tacomas I see on the road belong to guys in their 40s, 50s, & 60s using them as commuters. The younger set is all up in full-size lifted trucks, & w/large % of those guys rolling coal.

Might be an out west thing with the desert off road scene such as it is (wide open spaces, sand dune places etc). Large trucks with higher HP & towing capability are highly prevalent around here with 20 & 30-somethings.

I drove to Vermont last weekend, and we passed a Chevy dealership that had about a dozen brand new Silverado's with HUGE bro lifts, and low profile mud tires sitting right out front by the road.

Hard to believe something like that would be popular in Vermont.

The new pics on the toyota.ca link are way better than the original ones we've seen from Toyota. The truck is starting to grow on me. No plans to buy the new design since my truck is only 2 years old mind you.

Glad someone else feels this way. I always thought it was pretty dumb.

I'm saving up now. The look is growing on me. I would however do something to tone down the massive chrome grille insert. Maybe match it to the body color like the 2nd gen sports...

Just trade it to someone who likes that grille if they have a Limited. Or, just work it into the deal when you buy it.

It's possible that only the Limited will have the big chrome.

    1. Which picture is this?
    2. Why's it dumb and isn't a flattened bottom a good thing?

I saw it in person at the Dallas Auto Show so I know what it looked like and it's basically identical to what it was on the 2nd gen.

Honestly, I always thought it was a potential clearance issue. The flat bottom pipe makes me think it's not a great exhaust system (in terms of horsepower) and the whole thing just looks kinda rigged. There was a while I thought mine was the only one like that because I'd smashed it on a rock or something. Found out later they are all like that.
