I am also, and not real thrilled about it. I paid him around the 18 of March , and on the 27th. he apologized and said it was boxed and he would get it out tomorrow. I understand if things come up and it takes a day or two extra to ship something, but this is going on a month, and he hasn't even contacted me since then. He knows he made this deal, and I just find it hard to believe he has so much going on that he can't at least drop me an email to update me on this. Pretty damn sad a grown man can't keep his word anymore.

Dispute it through PayPal. Don't wait any longer. If he comes back with a legit excuse, make the transaction again.

So you send him a text last week, yet he ducks my messages 2 weeks ago plus skunks inquiry? I've given him enough time.

Dude sorry to say, you're either screwed out of your money, and he'll probably get banned, or you're gonna have to wait a while until he gets his life together enough to send out whatever everyone bought

A month later and still no lift. Still haven't heard from him, and it's been since 3-27-15 that he told me he would ship it. If anyone can contact this guy, and can get a message to him, tell him I'd be willing to drive down there to pick it up. Or it would take him about 5 minutes to explain what happened, and refund my money. Thanks.

This is why you don't send a gift as a payment for something through PayPal.

If you put it on your credit card, don't even bother going to PayPal. Go straight to your credit card company and dispute it. The CC co will then deal with PayPal. If he can't show that he shipped the items with tracking info, they will settle in your favor. I sell a TON of crap and have dealt with many many PayPal disputes.

Wasn't sure if this question was answered earlier but if you send it as a gift paypal wants nothing to do with it and they will not help. Personally been through it before. You can file a claim and they review it to the point of it being a gift transaction and end it there. I never send as a gift it just doesn't make sense. Ill pay the 3% to at least insure I get an empty box delivered to my house.

Now as stated above... your credit card company might be able to do something different. I didn't try that because at the time I didn't have a card linked to my account. I suppose its worth a shot got nothing to loose except some time on the phone.

In the end I hope all goes well for those involved.

Well, I figure it's time for an update on this douche bag. First, I have to accept the blame for sending money as a gift, shame on me and a lesson learned. I have done hundreds and hundreds of deals over the last 15-20 years over the internet, and this is the first time I have lost a penny. I guess it was bound to happen. At first he continued to promise he would ship it, even going as far as saying he was at the post office and needed my address again, that was a couple weeks ago. I have tried to be patient, (almost 3 months) but now it appears to be a game with him not to ship anything, or refund the 300.00 I sent him. Last contact we had he told me that if I wanted it, to come look him up next time I was in Brooklyn. I am making a trip there this summer, but at this point I don't suspect there ever was any type of lift kit. I was hoping that I was a better judge of a mans character, he spent some time in the Coast Guard and is a veteran, plus as an employee of the FDNY in Brooklyn and I figured he had enough moral values as to not be a thief and steal my money. I know if his family was lacking any of the bare essentials, and he had to resort to stealing to get along, the fire dept. has fund raisers in place they could do, to help him through these hard times. Heck, I would rather have given him the 300.00 than have him steal it from me. I don't imagine we'll ever see Obi-Wan, (Joe Brennan) on here again, but if he does return, please be cautious in any dealings you may have with him. I know a couple other people made deals with him that went well, but my transaction did not.
