You know, I never thought about the o-ring that goes inside of the eco-block. Mine just dropped in without any resistance. I'll have to open my box of o-rings and see if I can find one that will seal it.

Im having sort of the same issue. I don't seem to be getting much difference in my mpg. I have a weird commute. 85 one way, but a few slow downs to stop, and city speed. I have calculated my mpg to be 17.75 ish. I will admit im a bit heavy footed. Im wondering if i have a bit of leak. I checked my ltft and it seems to read positive 11.. Is this normal for the eb? 04 v6 dc prerunner auto. Ill check the upside down dairy Queen theory this weekend. HELP!!!

Edit: so this tank i just went through i managed 19 mpg. I ran the ac a few times, and again heavy foot. This next tank im going to drive normal as best as I can. Here is a pick of my ltft at 70 mph @2250 rpms on cruise

I also just emailed crawford asking for replacement o-rings. My wife's forester threw a CEL and I took out the ecoblock. Until now I didn't know why it happened but after reading that line I went back and the MAF just drops right in with nearly zero resistance and definitely doesn't stay in when flipped over.

What was your MPG before the ecoblock?

Based on the principle of the ecoblock i would say your reading for the LTFT is ok. Your FI is correcting the mix by adding fuel cause of the rading of the ecoblock that is lower then the reality.

To be honest i dont know what my mpg was prior. I was never one to worry too much. I did get 323 miles out of the last tank. And i probably could have pushed it to maybe 335 ish, but then i would have been dead on the side of the road. Good to know that my ltft is good. Is suspected that was normal. I managed to keep my foot off the gas on this tank so far, so ill report back probably friday. One think i have noticed, but maybe its me, but there isnt as much lag in shifting when i do punch it (auto trann). Anyone else notice this?

I've averaged 30.3 mpg over about 80,000 miles.

Rarely see above 2500 rpm and usually well below 2000 shifting. I do accelerate briskly but short shift and my scangauge shows closed loop during that time.

Would my I4 see any benefit? I'm not clear if you have one for the I4 yet?

If you have the 4.0L motor then Q1 is the correct fitment for your 14 Taco, and you will see a benefit while accelerating briskly ;)

What aren't you familiar with. Maybe i can help explain. Though I doubt it cause im just a dumb ironworker. Its running at positive 11, and before around positive 3 ish. I got 20.78 mpg today on my last tank. Kept my foot out of it and got about 340 out of this tank (which is a record for me), 65 mph all freeway. Dont know if this thing is working because i never checked my mileage prior. But that won't be hard to do obviously. I think next week ill top off my tank before my commute and run it easy. Then remove the eb and do the same and compare...

    LTFT: Long Term Fuel TRIM

Cause of the position of the MAF with the ECOblock, your MAF reading lower then reality and the ECU has to add fuel to maintain the AFR.

just got my o ring in the mail today! the fitment is soon much better.

Well i have a little bit of info to contribute.

Lately my LTFT has been about 16-17% cruising down the highway at 65 with the ecoblock on and the old small o ring (bad fitment). This morning i decided to take off the eco block and see what my LTFT was... 0%... wow. i was in shock and definitely had a feeling it was the bad o ring seal. So tonight i added the new o ring and i can vouch that my LTFT at idle was the same as without the ecoblock at all..2%.. Previously, when i had the eco block on with the bad o ring fitment, my idle LTFT was about 14%. Ill try and take a cruise down the highway tonight or tomorrow and see what my new LTFT readings are with the new o ring. i have high hopes though.
