I'm in the market for DC 4wd TRD but man these trucks bring a premium price. I would like to stay under 125k I believe I can buy a 2nd gen Taco for a little more with more room and more power etc. I've been driving a 01 Tacoma 4cyl xtra cab manual 5lug for over 8 yrs, I'm tired of changing gears and need more room. I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point.

I had a customer come into work the other day and he was driving a 99 4runner with 360k, he said he does the regular service work and 4 timing belts. With the dependability of the 3400 engine I think that's the reason I want the 1st gen Tacoma.

I look on autotrader everyday and I see this place call GW Enterprizes I see all these taco's with really low miles, how can this one place have all these low mileage taco's.

I see that low mileage thing with certain dealers. Always strikes me as suspicious, especially when Tacomas often have very high miles. Why would prime vehicles end up there rather than at new car dealerships or as private sales? That's why I sure like to see documentation (service records, carfax, etc.) that supports such claims. It sure would be interesting to hear from somebody in the business!

picked up mine for 13,900 138k, sr5 trd 4wd rear lockers, had new rotors not flipped, new brakes belts not a single leak anywhere, haven't had to do a single thing to it except change oil.
my old man was giving me shit because he has an 09 f150 with 90k on it and it ain't worth much, he couldn't justify buying a 10+ yo truck with 100k+ for more then 10 grand. I then showed him listings where these things are going for 10k with 300k miles on them.
These things are getting harder and harder to find in good condition, I feel like I got a good deal. Love this truck don't plan on selling it any time soon.
