Well, since no one else wanted to go play, "Peewee" & met up and did some exploring!

Damn what a spot-on post, Mike. I was merely going to say I like the 09 tail lights better. I think around '10 they also got those wonderful DTRLs.

 

I'm hoping to have the truck back in about 2 weeks and dying to get off-road. I'm open to head out some weekdays as well.

You bastards are making me reconsider a rear suspension upgrade with all your mumbo jumbo about shock relocations and Kings. Must keep my focus on saving up for regear and lockers....

Great looking outing. That snow would have been a cinch if you guys aired down.

 

Hey - I've got a few things in the garage I'm giving away if anybody wants. Otherwise, I'm going to post it for free on CL:
Pair of stock coilovers from a 2012 or 2013 (can't remember). They're from Izzy's truck and had very low miles.
Pair of shocks from the same truck.
Stock front skid plate with the support brackets.
Front bumper cover in Timberland Mica.
Winch roller fairlead. Came with my winch. Never been used in case you're thinking of using it with synthetic line.
Front left fender for a 1st gen. No dents at all, painted in 2nd gen MGM. I have no idea if this is even close to any 1st gen color but hey, it's free. Put it on your first gen and go bash the fucker up!

 

Urgh, looks like a place for me to take the bike on, but I'm still on projects. This weekend is CV re-booting

As if my project list wasn't big enough, I also got the nice letter in the mail about the newest frame recall/TSB/whatever they are calling it. Going to have to find time to schedule that, not that I think my truck is suspect to the issue.

I think you are right. Whatever time that was, they also changed it so that your parking lights are the inner set of orange lights instead of the tiny orange corner lights.
Did the engine ever change to dual VVT-i?

 

It's actually silver streak mica, and a damn good job of it, too.

 

Erm, Yes and no. we didn't have onboard air or a compressor with us, we're both noob owners to tacomas, and if we would've aired down then we had no way to air back up till we reached Snoqualmie summit 15 highway miles away.
