Nice. Post some measurements when it's done - I might be doing that route in the future. You going full Dakars, or are you pulling a leaf out?

I just had the Stock/Light Nitrocharger Sport kit (OMETACO5LK) installed on my 2006 XtraCab V6 manual yesterday. Went with the OME2885 front coil set with a couple of 3/4" spacers and the CS047R leaf springs. Here is a crappy cell phone photo of the truck just after the install. I haven't made any measurements yet, but the shops numbers are like 3.5" both front and back.

After the install my drive home was about 200 miles. All interstate from Phoenix to Flagstaff AZ. Today I inspected everything and noticed a loose bracket on the drivers side Dakar spring. There are four brackets on each spring and it looks like they are held in place by bolt through the leafs with a nipple on the end. The front bracket is loose because the nipple is broke off the end of the bolt.

I called the shop and they said no biggie. Should I be concerned about this and have it replaced or just remove the bracket and move on. And should I take the other side off too.

    Thanks

    Looks nose high

That bracket keeps the leafs from side to side movement but it's held on by a big rivet so not sure there's an easy fix

I'm going full dakars. I carry 400-500 lbs + a cap 24/7 and sometimes lumber/ladder and I also like rake. If my front ends up looking too low I may add some small spacers but as it sits my rear is lower than my front stock.

I will add pics when it happens but they (ToyTec) called me and said they are back ordered on the front shocks for 2 weeks or so. No biggie as I may wait to install the lift until I can get some rubber on her. My stock dungflops arent worthy!

It's parked on a slope in the pic, looks level to me in person.

I don't think there is a fix. They come that way, so the whole pack would probably need to be replaced.

So I am pulling the trigger on a full OME lift with dakars, top spacers and LR uca's with an ARB bullbar, so with all the reading I've done I can expect having vibes an halfing to install a ecgs bushing to replace needle bearing, this all doesn't sound fun to deal with as my 13' doesn't have any issues and only has 44000 on the clock, am I just being pessimistic or will everything be good to go thanks for the help

Ok gents I am in need of a new suspension set up and after reading several posts on this site I have decided with OME.

Here is the set-up I am thinking for my 09 Double Cab TRD

    885 coils up front
Full Dakar leafs in the back
    Sport shocks all around
    Spacer for taco lean
    Spacers to help with driveline
    LR UCA

With this setup I am hoping to get at least get 2.5 all around if its closer to 3 that's fine. I am just hoping to get a level nice riding truck.

I've also read something about removing the third leaf from the Dakar's pack but I'm not sure if that's necessary with the 885's up front.

What do you guys think of this set-up and what should I get as far as lift??

Light, Bumpers, and lots of switches.

I went with the full ome lift with full plate bumpers front and rear. With a winch and sliders. All I did was install the carrier bearing drop. Never messed with the needle bearing. Haven't had any issues in 5k miles

I just measured my ride height after a week of driving on the new leaf packs. I've got 24" hub to fender at all 4 corners. Thinking about putting the 3rd leaf back in to add a little rake for towing/hauling toys.
I now have driveline vibes from 30-40mph and 60-75 mph so I've got some shimming to figure out.

Would removing the 3rd leaf bring me closer to level? Or would I still have a slight rake?

I don't mind a slight rake just don't it very noticeable.

    Thanks in advance!

You can also or alternately remove the upper overload

Forgot to mention that I put the CB drop kit back in after installing the Dakars. I had it on the truck when I did my original lift (AAL) 6 yrs ago. Took it off then because I had the "take off" vibration. Didn't notice a difference with it on or off so I just got used to it. Now with the Dakars and the CB drop kit the "take off" vibration has diminished significantly but I have these new vibes. I've read many threads about getting the driveline angles correct so I've ordered a digital angle finder and will be experimenting with that once it comes in.
Oh yea and I did the ECGS bushing along with front wheel bearings about 3 years ago. Thanks for the heads up though.

    Great thanks.

I'm assuming if I went with 886's I would be closer to level without removing a leaf from the pack but I worry with comfort level since I will not be adding a heavy bumper or winch.

887's are another option , same spring rate as 885's just taller

Now that I ordered my kit with the 884's, and also I am ordering 1/4 spacers for just a bit more lift, what is that largest tire I can fit without rubbing?
