I have been pulled over wearing mine and the cop didnt say anything either. I purposely left mine on and asked to unbuckle so I could reach the glove box

 

Wow, I never wear my seat belt in my stock tacoma (for now it's stock) been pulled over 5 times and never had a single officer say anything to me. It's always either been drinking or you need to wash the mud off your truck. Though that might change after I'm all done modding my truck.

decided to go LT in the rear and MT in the front. Front will be MT cause for starters, I might go full LT in the future. What are some good rear leafs for a 2001 tacoma 4x4? I'm looking at either bilstein 5125 12" or 14" and the leafs will be under axle. Any insight will be appreciated

 

Why exactly do you drive around with no seat belt?

Yes you may trust your driving but thats not really the reason to not wear one..

I dont trust other drivers.

 

Idk why and I don't trust them either. Guess I don't like being restricted/held down in my seat. after I get a 4 point harness I'll wear it for sure cause I'll be driving differently after the mods

 

My seatbelt is on and clicked before the key is in the ignition, just habit and I dont even notice it being a hinderance.

I lived in Indiana for a while and still have family there.. I know there are some whackadoodle drivers there.. my cousin and Ex wife are some of them.. LOL

 

So you would rather bounce around your cab if in an accident than be held down?

do you plan on getting a full cage in your truck before you do the harnesses?

also, to utilize the most rear suspension travel, you will likely need a 16inch long shock, unless you want your shocks at extreme angles and wont get proper dampening.
the leaf springs, all depend on how much weight you plan on carrying in the bed!

a ton of traffic accidents that are pretty mild turn into fatalities because people neglect to wear their seatbelts

Yea, guess I'm a risk taker on the seat belt. I'll be caging my cabNot more than additional 200 pounds. Not including the bed cage/rack, 2 spares, and maybe some recovery gear.

 

Exactly. They are LITERALLY designed to save your life in the event of an impact/rollover.
