Hello, I got very lucky and found a Snugtop XV in the same color as my truck! It came with the remote lock option and I am looking on how to hook it up. I can't find instructions anywhere on installation of this and I figure I just need to hook it up to a 12v line. Would the only way to hook it up to run a wire to the battery directly or is there a line somewhere in the rear that is always hot that I can splice in to? I have searched the forums and the best I can find involves dome lights but the key must be in for them to work.

That's the way they wired my dome light in the cap, which is nice cause I can use the light whenever I want.

2 in spacer lift front 2, in AAL rear [tundra leaf] , flip up tow mirrors, ARE shell electric brake controller and cooper ATP 265/r70x16 tires on stock TRD wheels
The auto lock on my ARE shell has 2 wires that are hooked to the electric lock on the passenger rear door wire's are run up through thru the floor and tied in under the sill plate. the lock on the shell is activated with the door lock's by the remote. note you must have electric locks for this to work. Also if you have the trailer tow package with the 7 pin plug you can access 12 volt power from the trailer plug wiring.
