I'd recommend 4" back space. You'll still run the frame at full lock but it wouldn't be too wide.

Are our front axles interchangeable? Right axle can fit on the left side and vice versa?

Yeah welded a bracket on the frame and then the crossmember is bolted thorough that.

 

I drained my rear diff.... filthy. Anyways I bought new gaskets which appear to be directional. Does the rounded side sit against the diff or the bolt?

 

I've always wondered, I even asked the parts dude who asked one of the techs, who said it didn't matter. But he didn't seem to sure about it himself.

 

I always try and compare with the gasket before. Usually I will be able to tell which way it goes by checking it out. Don't know off hand though.

 

Is there a reason you sprayed these before you get the legs welded on?

 

Thanks. I love this underpowered, shitty gas mileage having tank. I am selling my Chevy Truck and getting a Camaro SS but the Tacoma will stay with me for the foreseeable future. There's something about it, maybe because I wanted one since I was in High school. It's not going anywhere.

 

I did the same thing adam. Just left about an inch unpainted one the legs for the welds.

I never use gaskets. FIPG from toyota is the shit.
