Or just swap to manual hubs. IMHO, the boots last much longer with manuals, since the axles only spin when the rig is in 4WD. Infinitely less fatigue on the boots. I don't expect to ever have a torn boot.

 

Yeah that would be a good alternative. Looked into that a little... wonder if there are any compatability issues between manual hubs and long travel..

Eh, I already bought an axle today. Rob is waiting for a boot before shipping me the other one. But that does sound like a good alternative

Lisa has a training bike ride sunday so this already turned into a friday night saturday trip for me. I hope its not wet. Slickrock wet may be alittle more challanging then I bargined for.

 

I'll be picking up my cuzin from greyhound at 6:50 AM then speeding all the way to slickrock! fucker chose a hell of a day to come into town

 

edit. nvrm. He gets here at 6AM! Perfect timing!! I'll be driving out that way right after I pick him and his GF up

I've got some serious cutting/BFHing this week. With stock wheels and no spacer i clear except for the UCA and frame. With a 1.25 spacer I clear both but need to best the fuck out of the firewall and i've already done quite a bit.
