I'm stock height at the moment. Figure that since I bought the truck with suspension that's in good shape I'll do what I can to wreck it before splurging on some Nitrochargers OMEs and an AAL.

    Tryna get my monies worth!:D

I was just curious because I was looking at same tire and size and didn't know if they would fit on stock suspension.

After reading through a lot of threads it looks like people are doing this no problem. At the very worst your rub would be at full tilt, probably flexing. You'd only need to shave a 16th or less of an inch off where it rubbed.

Don't forget, if you plan on wheelin you'll be aired down so rubbing will be way less likely than aired up when your wheel is full tilt + flex

I had to convince my tire guy of the size 255/80.. He's like that not a common size.. I said look it up, that's what I want

Great news! I love hearing the testimony of the Maxxs.

I haven't run a 255 on stock but my guess would be you'll need minor trimming

I have a 2013 DCSB OR, and I am looking to upgrade my tires currently have the stocked rugged trails.

I plan to go with an ICON stage 2 lift. I am trying not to permanently modify my truck (CMC etc) will I be able to fit the 255/85/16s or should I stick with 265/75/16?

It seems there are a few conflicting answers. Thanks!

No real way to tell for sure..
255/85 isn't supposed to fit according to the official tire fitment guide but it often does so with little to no trimming.

Only someone with a 2nd gen DCSB and an ICON stage 2 lift that has run 255/85s would know for sure. I'd so any trimming done properly would be unnoticeable. Only one way to find out..

Got my St maxx set yesterday and installed em.
I now (90% sure) have a radial tire pull. Is this common with these tires and our trucks? I am going to swap them from left to right tonight, but basically the faster i go the harder it pulls right.
It did not pull at all before these tires.

If it is a radial pull, and i swap it to the back and it goes away, will it cause the tire to wear faster or should I still send it back for replacement?

Other then that I love these tires, very hard to make them let loose and surprisingly quiet. I got lt265/70R17.

Just read a post as well that said i may need to set my cross caster 2.5* left 3.5* right. So I will give that a shot as well.

Are you rubbing your mud flaps up front?
