So I ended up going with the newer flush LED lights from Oznium.. hopefully that was a good choice. http://www.oznium.com/led-bolt

Are you guys mounting these aiming down from the lip on the grill, or aiming forward? Also, any recommendations for the best way to do this on my HomerTaco Raptor style grill?

    Thanks!

Have you wired them up yet? I'm debating on doing this with my Raptor but concerned about the wiring part

Nah I haven't wired yet, but not worried about that part. The newer (2015) ones i linked to have longer 3ft wires, so that won't be an issue. Just tap into headlights or running lights and ur all set. Then ground the other. Easy stuff.

I just want the best mounting spot, angle, and tips. is it the plastic housing of the grill, or the grill itself. Cuz my taco grill has a mesh that won't be easy to work with.

Got a little idea from this pic that TRSAndrew posted:

Even though I don't have that lower valance area he has on his truck, I was thinking of maybe some white LEDS where those 4 little bolts are in the lower valance??????

Actually now that I'm looking at it, I'm debating what to tap these into. Your raptor lights are on all the time right? Or only when headlights are turned on?

The parking lights are the small amber lights on the outside corners correct? That are on in the main two positions of the light knob, but not the off switch... which is only the DRL. Correct? So splice into the parking lights?

Yes, pretty much. Just make sure you cover up the splices with tape and stuff good

Instead of using those cheap ass wire connectors from the auto parts store...I HIGHLY SUGGEST that any of you doing wiring should invest in a good soldering iron some solder and heat shrink tubing. It makes a connection that will last for ever.

Yeah, I use the crimp ones or solder when I can. I have a butane solder iron, but its easier to crimp them. The crimps I get are better quality and I'm pretty sure won't break. Solder connections, if done improperly, can also break

Cory have you mounted those Ozniums yet? I wanted to do 4 per side in the headlight trim piece but there's no clearance because the headlight is right up against them.

I plan on doing this, but only on the larger part nearest to the grille for turn signals or a possible white DRL. The new stainless steel bolts may work as they are a bit shorter than the aluminum ones and brighter

Mounted them today sir.. The clearance is a little more than a washer.. Very flush, and these new 2015 models are rather bright. This is at dawn, aiming down (not out) and I get plenty of light. Love the results... I'll add a night picture soon.

Linked to it above. They're flush, brighter, come in 3 sizes and have 3ft wires.. New to 2015 according to oznium site.

Oh, I linked them too. They're not all new, only the 3w stainless steel ones are new. The regular aluminum body ones have been around.

Ahh. Good to know. I did the 1w 11mm aluminum ones in black, no lens.

And for anyone doing this. Using a dremel on the plastic is much easier than trying to drill holes. Just a thought.
