Taco Sauce TX Pro Build: Custom LT, 37’s, Tundra Axle Swap, and now a Back Half?

got the drivers side on tonight, and both of them about 98% welded on. need to do a little bit of manipulating/ fixing to completely finish them, but they are on there good enough to be functional and make it past thanksgiving weekend, since i anticipate I won't have time to work on anything until after then.







and figure finish/ fix them and hopefully build some skids between then and new years

 

Wish I knew you came out to Flagstaff. I'm out here for school.

 

Long distance relationship. Girlfriend lives there. Ill be there this weekend, but without the truck. Renting something a little more economical until you guys get some snow

Well, no pics yet, but I've got a new CB, extended rear brake lines, wheelers super bumps all around, and 1" wheel spacers added to the rear already installed. Bamf rear shock relocation kit and 12" kings should ship this week, and I should have some pics of that to add when it's all said and done. Getting excited

no pics of the bumps or brake lines installed, but got that done a few weeks ago.

Spent this last sunday installing the spindle gussets though.



Not sure if it qualifies as weld pron, but they look pretty to me, and glad they came out good since my rear shocks and bamf relocation kit should be arriving at the end of this week/ early next week. So some good practice before installing that in the next couple of weeks.

 

Well got to my bamf relocation kit this weekend. Lot of work, but worth it in the end.

Pulling the bed was easier than I thought, and made a whole lot more room to work


The point of no return and I cut off the old shock towers

Yeah. Climbing up the manhole cover towers is a good spot to get flexy in town.

Thanks. I think with this last mod, I can finally start accepting those kind of compliments, instead of getting them for the illusion of a bad ass truck. Hopefully in the next month or two I can match up that rear set up with something in the front.

 

Well, I decided to take state line to barstow off road on my way home from the vegas supercross yesterday. And, apparently I'm upgrading my front suspension sooner than later.....front shocks will be here on thursday.

Not really. There wasn't a distinguishable hit that I know when I happened. Other than it was within the last 20 miles or so of the 106 I was off road between Vegas and Barstow. Pulled off in Barstow for fuel and found it.

Well the new front shocks showed up last week, and what a difference they make. Both to the ride, and my bank account lol. But glad they're on there.

Sh*t, more mods getting done in the last 45 days, than the last 2 years.

Well the first real test with the front and rear set up last weekend went amazing. No pics, but holy hell what a difference. And have a shackle flip kit, and few misc items to finalize the tweaking of the new set up on order and hopefully showing up in the next few weeks. After that the chassis will be sound, and truck will probably not be getting any love for a while
