As the title says, I have a 99 2.7L 3rz 160,000 miles, keep getting this CEL popping. P0402 EGR Excess overflow detected. I've read multiple posts on here with people having the same issue. So far I've replaced the EGR, along with the VSV and the EGR Temp sensor, after each the CEL has been reset, and proceeds to repop anywhere between 100-200 miles. All the lines seem fine, and I just recently seafoamed the truck. Not sure what else to do at this point aside from taking it to the dealership, which is an hour away and would be a pain, I'd love to finally be able to fix this myself. Any suggestions??

Yeah check that, and also the vacuum hose routing.

Download the factory repair manual and go through the procedures to test each component of the EGR system. And don't assume the new parts work without testing them. Everything can be tested with a multimeter and hand vacuum pump.

Check the hose that plugs in to a vacuum valve on the right side and crosses over(attaches to radiator) and ends up plugging into the intake housing(airfilter)
