Drive. Drive all over this state and enjoy it. Also - do the speed limit.

    Welcome to Texas.

Aloha bru, the drive from CA to fort worth is fun. Just take the 40, don't mess with that 10 highway. I'm a transplant from SoCal, still getting used to everything. No waves in fort worth, it sucks.

There's quite a few of us in Arlington so if you ever feel like having a meet just set it up.

Welcome Wailua. If you have any questions about where to live in Arlington, you can hit me up. I work for the city so I know the in and outs of it. Ironically, Arlington Municipal Airport is in my beat. If you are down for a TW meet and other fun activities then I'm in for it. I got a lot of firearms that needs to be tested :D

I've been wanting to make a trip from here towards CA, so I can tell you the things that I want to do in reverse.

    Drive through Death Valley.
Spend a night in Vegas (I've never been).
    Drive over the Hoover Dam.
See the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert and Petrified Forest.
Somewhere in that area is a spot called "Crater of the Moon" or something like that.
Drive through Area 51 - Roswell, NM.
    Carlsbad Caverns.
    Into Texas.

    What he said.

Where did you mount the antenna? What did you get for SWR readings?

I have live in Arlington my whole life and can help you out if you have questions about locations. Are you looking for an apartment or a house? Lot of good areas and the airport is not to far from Mansfield so you might want to look there as well.

Hahaha that's awesome thanks guys. What's cool is I've already done a lot of that list from going to school in northern Arizona. But that was 6 years ago so might be time to try that new hoover dam bridge. I think I'll be starting my trip over on the 15th or 16th from San Diego. Machvii or anyone else for that matter my cell is 808-652-2607 feel free to call or txt definitely about the Arlington area and places to live that's my new number 1 priority at this point kuz the places I called already got taken.

Mansfield huh, I'll look into that. Honestly I don't care if it's a house or apartment as long as I can try to keep my truck covered or safe from the elements. Thanks tex for the imput. As soon as I get off work I'll check out more places online.

Saturday will work. Want to do it at Bridgeport?

I used a famous fab tailgate mount for the drivers side. I haven't had a chance to check the reading yet. That's what I need MatthewMay1 for. Mounted the CB in the center console, ran the coax under the carpet and out a hole under the passenger seat, along the frame on the passenger side, crossed over at the bumper then up behind the drivers taillight. 18' was just long enough.

If you look at the map I would try to focus on being west of Cooper St but the more south you go towards Mansfield I would consider looking on both sides of Cooper. Since the airport is right off 20 it will be an easy commute if you wanted to expand your search. Maybe even Kennedale but stay away from the apartments on Treepoint.
