Gym fail. The lat pull down bar was heavier than the lowest weight. Pulled the pin, saw the weight start moving up. Had enough time to look up and get whacked in the forehead. Didn't hurt but it was pretty embarrassing. Hopefully I don't see myself on YouTube in a few weeks.

I am guessing the machine is screwed up. Only other times I have seen this happen is at the gym I go to when visiting my parents because they have make shift attachments the owner welded together or a machine is broke. It looked fine but the attachment wasn't 10lbs

If I had a planet fitness I would probably sign up for the pizza. I think it's pretty hypocritical for a lot of people to bitch about it. Those same guys will finish a work out and pick up a hot and ready on the way home because they are "bulking". GTFO with that shit.

Or bitching about the alarm that goes off because someone is grunting? Not to long ago the guys in here where bitching about people grunting in the gym

Yea, but that alarm goes off for things other than LOUD grunting.

Yeah, like dropping and slamming weights. Another topic that is bitched about in here. Or judging/intimidating someone else. Something that shouldn't take place anyways.

Hmm. I don't care. As long as you're not yell-grunting practically making sex noises lmao. I don't always have music in and I just start laughing

What I don't like about Planet Fitness is how they boast about being a "judgement-free" zone, but contradict themselves by targeting traditional bodybuilders and labeling them as "meat-heads." If Jay Cutler walked into PF, they'd already have preconceived notions about him, simply because he's big. Sure, I hate it when dudes grunt in the gym and act like tools by trying to intimidate folks, but the majority of gym-goers don't act like that. Most people get in, lift, and leave. There are exceptions to the rules, though. No matter what gym a person goes to, there is going to be an idiot or two screwing up everyone's good time. PF disregards that most gym-goers are decent people, no matter how big they are and automatically assumes that anyone who can bench over 315 is a dick head.

Exactly, in some ways it may be the best fit though. The price is affordable though, for me I can't justify $50 or more a month elsewhere since I'd be lucky to get there once a week

I can't be mad at their prices. $10/month is good, but I don't think I'd fit in very well there lol

I don't think many people do fit in except the ones who want to say "I go to a gym, so I'm healthy" or people who just wanna get midsized or run on treadmills
