Hey guys, new to the forums and new owner to a 2013 Tacoma. I've recently been trying to figure out a way to make my truck bed comfortable enough to sleep on. It couldn't be that hard, right? After some research and ordering a truck mattress that didn't fit my bed, I'm stuck.
I ordered the Air Bedz 6' mattress to try to fit it into my 5' truck bed. As you could guess, no luck. The length and width was perfect with my tailgate down, but the wheel wells were off.(Picture added)

Does anyone know of an easy solution to this problem? I've tried looking for Truck Bedz expedition (tailgate down model), but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere. If all else failed, I might just have to pile blankets and pillows until I can order an air mattress that fits.

I have never had good luck with an air mattress unless it's a thermarest. Those big pillowy bastards are super-uncomfortable and wiggly, then they spring mystery leaks even if handled like a premature baby. Never again.

What I like the best is a bedliner made from styrofoam sheet insulation so you don't feel the ridges of the truck bed, and it also blocks some cold coming from underneath. If you wanted to be a fancy lad you could even cover it with some cheap automotive carpet. Then with a thermarest or foam pad on top of that, you will sleep like a king.

I was super confused looking for one to fit our bed as well, no clear cut specific model for Tacoma really from what I could find. Ended up just getting a normal queensize one from Amazon for pretty cheap, super comfortable...

My air mattress is about a 12 pack. After that, everything is comfortable to sleep on.

I had one of those Intek mattresses from walmart last for well over a year. Since I travel a lot for work, a lot of time I am a cheap o and sleep in my office at different locations. It was great. I was sad when it finally broke, it didn't develop a leak, but one of the baffles came loose from the bottom and it had a huge bulge in it.

you just have to go costco and they have it there.

The little personal self inflating sleep pad is super comfy and its great, no need to bring an air pump, its not crazy thick so i can use it in my small tent that fits in the back of my truck.

It will not fit two people though.

As far as actual air bed that fits the truck

But really you could probably do alot cheaper if you got a tape measure out and measured inbetween the wheel wells and then length of the bed with the tailgate down and go to walmart and get an air mattress there.
