Oh on another note, I was at junk ass Fairfield Toyota today, just to pick up a new oil filter, and just for shits and giggles I asked a service guy how much a Supercharger install will run...and I quote

Me-"Hey, wondering how much will a supercharger install run"
Service Guy-"uhm, parts and labor will run about $3900"
Me-"oh..uh...ok well I just need the install"(That's weird, because I paid about $4300 for the SC and fit kit)
Service Guy-(after punching some random numbers into a calculator)"oh, ok, looks like about $2400 for install"
Me-*speechless for a few seconds* "Did you say $2400"
Service guy- "Yea"
Me- "Uh...how did you come by that number"
Service guy- "That's just the standard install price"

At that point I just rolled my eyes and walked away laughing to myself. I was quoted $1100 by Toyota of Concord...but surprisingly Fairfield Toyota actually sold me the oil filter at the lowest price I've found them yet, AND didn't charge me for the crush gasket. So I'll be buying just oil filters from them now lol.

AEV Brute conversions are LOOT! And this week I delivered a car to a customer, and found he has a european diesel FJ cruiser (real FJ40). I told him if he ever sells it I have legitimate dibbs.

 

That would be bad ass!

 

I drove up the driveway late at night and he said oh my truck is parked around back I never drive it, and I was like, "you aren't talking about that FJ in dark metallic red/burgundy behind the trees" and he was like, "how did you even see it let alone tell the color in the dark...?" and told me it belonged to a foreign diplomat or something or consulate worker and it has been registered in California ever since 72 or something. I told him I was dead serious on getting it. It was pretty dammed clean too.

Busy with life, I check in regularly, just never post. Don't get to drive the truck much anymore, wife's commute is a third the distance of mine so I'm driving a ford focus. 30+ MPG is much better than the 10-12 I get in the truck.
