Mmmm ok I have 295's right now on 17's the Rubbing is not bad at all not even noticeable. You recommend me trying them on and drive around the block to see if it's even worth it ??

Nothing yet. Old truck had the works.
You will most definitely rub. Try them on but don't just drive around the block. Try to flex out your suspension see how badly you will rub. its a question of how badly and how much trimming.

You really wont find guys running that size tire on a Tacoma unless its long travel or solid axle front.

Or the dreaded 6 inch drop bracket hack jobs.

Not to mention unless re gearing you will lose a ton of power.

unless hes long travel or drop bracket lift I call bullshit without cutting and smashing a ton of metal out of the way.

Just depends on how much you have to trim. Could be an hour could be a day. Im not sure on 1st gens whether you need to cut much metal or just trim plastic.

fender liner has to go front and rear, pinch weld and possibly the cab mount area will need to be cut and re welded with a new flatter plate.

Unless they run spacers or wide wheels expect to rub on the frame and upper control arms as well.

    255/85/16, essentially a skinny 33 inch tire.

I've got a friend with this size tire on his second gen, he has King coilovers, built right upper arms, fiberglass fenders, and the cab mount chop mod. They still rub.

Just to let you know, 35s fit on second gens with just trimming of the body mount and fenders a little. If your trying to fit them on a first gen be prepared to tub the shit out of your fire wall…
