Just got back from 6 days in Utah and I have never slept so well as with my new Ayer. Thanks, Adam!

There may be some truth to this. I experienced this phenomenom with my motorcycle. Blue kawi side-by-side with a red honda and a black harley; bees clustered around the kawi. If not color-related, then just super weird.

Don't let that deter you from the orange if yer into it. I'm more partial to the tan. I think the ruggedized orange would annoy me out in a natural setting.

I'm thinking about the tepui olive SE. It's traditional but there's probably good reasoning behind it too.

I see that most guys are mounting these to bed racks. I shouldn't have any issue with mounting one to the top of a camper shell right? I have a front runner rack.

We visited Escalante and Canyonlands. I have to go back; didn't have nearly enough time to explore Canyonlands.

Just picked this up from an awesome guy on Expo Portal! Its a Eezi-Awn 1800 and holy crap i love this thing. Best $700 spent so far!

Edit. Just measured it up and it must be a 1600 since the dimensions are the same.

Caught this on reddit this morning. till cost him $600, so he most likely did it for the project. Good read/picturebook nonetheless.

After looking at that I'm glad I spent a little extra and got a much better tent.

I thought the 1800 was the bigger one? Does it hang out past the end of the bed?

They mount up great and I like it better for camping because of the extra height away from critters and such. Also works better if you have an annex to have it mounted on a shell. The only downfall is the added weight up that high makes your truck behave differently on some terrain. Its not terribly bad but you can feel it compared to having the tent on a bedrack.

The guy I bought it off of said it was a 1800 but my brother just asked the same question and it measures the same as a 1600. Screw it a $700 eezi-awn is a steal either way. And it takes up damn near the whole bed mounted on the frontrunner load bars. I can't wait to take it on a serious wheeling trip and actually getting quality sleep
