    Hey all,

I previously made a thread on rust treatment products and which one is best to use, but I didnt really get to a conclusion. My frame has light surface rust, as well as some scale and heavier rust in isolated spots (end of frame near shackles, and a small section under the drivers side cab). My frame is structurally sound and does not have any soft spots.

I am looking to treat the rust I have and prevent more from forming.

I am in between several products, including POR-15, Eastwood, Rust Bullet, and the good old rustoluem rattle can and rust reformer approach.

My main concern with POR-15 is that I wont have enough rust for it to adhere. I talked to a POR sales rep and they said a quart was more than enough for a tacoma frame. I have also heard that POR is well suited to full restorations, I dont have the ability to take my truck apart for a week to repaint the frame. So this restoration will be a on frame one.

Eastwood is relatively inline with price as POR-15, yet i have not seen enough usage of it to form an opinion on it.

Rust Bullet is interesting but I haven't seen too many forums on its usage either.

I want to repaint and repair my frame three weeks from now after my college semester is finished.

    Thanks.

Go with wire brush and rust reformer with rustoleum frame and chassis paint, its just surface rust and that should take care of it for less tha. 20 bucks
