Way more room than an access cab that's for sure. The storage room in those don't exist, I had one before, never again. I'd just rather have a regular cab instead honestly if I had to go back to that platform. Double cabs can do it all and then some.

I couldn't have said that better myself. The AC made me crazy... the DC is so much better all around. I do wish there was a few more inches of space behind the back seat, but that's about it. I sold my 1st gen AC to get a 1st gen DC... never looking back!

There was a band in the '90s that had a bumper sticker that stated
    "F#*k More
    Bitch Less"
That pretty much sums up the DCs. It truly does offer another spot for 'parking'.

Yep, I love my DC and plan to drive it for many many years, she only has 86k miles on her now so I got a long ways to go! I only wish that first gen double cabs weren't so uncommon, idk why Toyota didn't start making them sooner like say 1998, think it would have helped their sales a lot more. I mean, look at how well the second gen Tacomas took off once they came out. You see double cab Tacomas everywhere now. As much as I like regular cabs, they are pretty much archaic in this day and age. Even extended cabs are becoming less and less. There's just so much more pros having 4 doors and a bed. Can haul people and cargo which is just too handy.

Depends on what you are using it for, my Mustang, for example. It would look ridiculously silly with 4 doors if you ask me haha.
