Anyone have pictures of a whole tacoma dipped? Thinking about dipping mine either white with a blue pearl in the topcoat or desert camo tan.

handles on my moms 4runner have been dipped for over 2 years and the only spot that is messed up is the key hole from not getting good coverage initially and water getting in.

There's 259 pages in this thread and it's been mentioned many times. But for any new people having questions on how to remove PD, use WD40. I had my front emblem dipped. Sprayed it with WD40, came back later and the stuff just wiped off.

Nice. I think I'm gonna take off my badges and actually paint them soon. Gotta remove the plastidip off them first I suppose. Anyone know how to remove the fake chrome off badges?

EDIT: you can use bleach most likely

With the badges off of course I've read and heard that oven cleaner strips the chrome right off. It doesn't work with real chrome obviously (rear bumper and stuff) but badges and front grille surround it does.

Haha, ofcourse badges off! I'll try the bleach I put in my edit and the oven cleaner if not.

I sprayed over the wheel weights. I'm not sure about weights put on after dip. You could redip after the wheels are balanced if the weights scratch the dip.
