So Burrows released from hospital but will not fly home with the Canucks , staying in Calgary overnight as a precaution .

So stretcher , ambulance and hospital all day , released but won't fly

Does that sound like maybe a potential punctured lung with the broken rib ?

 

Could be. I'd think with just a cracked/broken rib a guy like burrows wouldn't be hauled away in an ambulance so for him to take the ride and stay overnight it would definitely seem more serious.

 

Flames play by play announcer just said on the radio that while he didn't see what happened to Burrows he did see him head to the bench and ask loudly for help. Players don't usually do that in practice.

How about Calgary? Do they have a lot more high end talent? Didn't even have more points than the Jets this season and they're on the verge of advancing to round 2.
What did you expect them to do, tank and start trading roster players for picks if they weren't in the top 4 in the conference at the All-Star break?
Selling at the trade deadline is a giant middle finger to the core players and the fans of the team. And for what? For them to move up a couple of spots in the draft and pick 12th instead of 14th?
I know this is going to be hard for a Leafs fan to understand but some organizations actually give a shit about their fans. It's fucking awesome watching Jets playoff hockey and they haven't even won a game yet.

I was so pissed off after game 3 I could have started a riot Vancity style, but my bus pulled up as soon as I stepped out of MTSC so instead I went home.
After sleeping it off I realized the next day it was still a hell of a game and I was lucky to experience it live. Doubtful they come back to win the series, but it sure would suck to get swept at home. They have been right in there in all 3 games so I'm calling a win tonight.

Did any octopi hit the ice in Detroit last night? Are they still allowed to do that or do you have to sneak it in somehow?
