Thing is loaded to the gills. Hell of a truck. F150 would be my choice for a full size as well!

Only options I didn't get were the FX4 package ($$ for shocks, stickers, and Hill Descent I'd never use), sunroof, adaptive cruise, and parallel parking system. I tried to keep it to things that I would actually benefit from. Sound silly when you're talking about an expensive truck, but I had a budget and I was sticking to it.

I hear ya man. Things add up quick.

When I was 28 I was driving a 5 year old accord! I'd say you a doing pretty darn good.

Also pretty impressive that thing is putting out +22mpg for such a big truck while our tacomas are lucky to break 18. Say what you want about Ford, but they took a huge gamble with the aluminium frame, so atleast they are trying unlike Toyota with the Tacoma.

Just an FYI - the frame is fully boxed, high-strength steel. The body is all aluminum.

But I know what you mean, and yeah, it's made a huge difference for them. The shipping weight of my truck was 4,800 lbs, or only about 700 lbs more than my Tacoma.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Wow that is impressive, For that size only 4800 lb is crazy low.
That should keep city/traffic MPG's low.
BTW: Jealous of King Ranch, enjoy and hopefully serves you well

You certainly picked the right color! Nice. I almost went for a 2014 F150 instead of Tacoma, but the Taco was "enough" truck for me, for now, and fits in the garage when it hails. I do predict an eventual upsizing... I'm doing a lot of camping with my three boys, who are going to be gangly teenagers before long.

Looks very nice, just needs a front lift and some more aggressive tires and it would be perfect.

Great looking truck. I went from a Titan to the Tacoma. A full size was just too big for my needs. If my needs changed, i would buy F150 4X4 with the 5.0 without hesitation. I wish you many good miles!

Just a question...why is no one considering the Tundra? That would have been my first choice if I wanted a full size? Is it "bad"??

The only other truck I would "personally" consider is a Raptor.

The Tundra is more Merican than Merican trucks. I'm not brand loyal. New Tundra doesn't appeal to me. That and mileage.

I test drove a Tundra and it's huge, and feels huge when you're behind the wheel. Feels like you're driving a cruise ship. Also, the Ford seems to be much better fuel economy and I liked the interior of the Ford better than the Tundra.

I did the exact opposite today. Traded my 2014 King Ranch in for a 2015 Tacoma.

I looked at all the full-size trucks, minus the Titan. Liked the Tundra 1794 interior, but that thing is a beast to drive around, and the gas mileage is horrible. Plus, if I remember right, the rear floor isn't flat, which was a huge thing for me with big dogs. Those kinda knocked it out of consideration for me.

The flat rear floor is one of the many great features of the F-150 crew cab.
