I'm sticking with the forecast that says basically "weather looks cold but reasonable - go prepared."

I think only mike and I were camping, right? To be frank, I don't care for camping without friends, and I am not inclined to drive 4 hrs each way for a day trip... just sayin'. My wife will be very unhappy in either of those scenarios...

We'll see what happens in the next 24-36 hrs.

Oh and nick, I'll speak again for the married dudes, totally get where you are coming from! Thats how it goes sometimes. The only reason my wife hasn't cancelled this camping trip already, is because she feels shitty for always bailing on me haha. Anyways what are the odds? Hasn't been much weather and poof, this week we get rain...

    Another option to consider:

I'm old and soft, and I was out camping last weekend, and will be camping again next weekend. So personally, I was planning on taking a hotel room in Angels Camp on Friday night so as to avoid the

    drive four hours early...
in order to drive the trail...
in order to drive four hours home...

Hotels in Angels Camp are fairly reasonable...
    Just something to consider.
