So my, new to me, 2002 Tacoma Crew Cab w/175,000 miles and the 3.4 V6 auto transmission will be arriving via auto transport on Monday, the 28th. Picked it up on eBay for $7,600.
What other things should I do that I haven't mentioned below?
    1. check oil for color
    2. Check all fluids under the hood; radiator, tranny, window cleaner and brake and power steering fluids if applicable.
    3. Air filter
    4. Is there an inside cab air filter?
    5. Tire air pressure

    What else?

I'm pretty excited. This will be my first p/u in awhile.

    4. Yes

Check for frame rust would be big on my list. Do you have any maintenance records?

Not sure about maintenance records. I'll check the glove box for sure. The underside pics from the ebay ad looked real clean.

tranny fluid and diff fluids would be on my short list if you don't know when they were done. Grease all the perks you can find. That is often overlooked with maintenance.

After watching a certain episode of Top Gear I would suggest waving a black light over the interior and giving it a very good cleaning. The amount of blood semen shit and pubes in the cars they tested was insane. Just saying.

    Nice truck. Enjoy.

When I bought mine the lot told me they had the underside sprayed, and it looked real nice. But whoever sprayed it just sprayed over the rust and now 1 year later the undercoat is all gone and rust is back. So if I were you I'd just keep an extra eye on that. Would check the plugs too.

Oil color doesn't really tell you much. 'Maybe' if it's fresh, but you don't know the brand/wt./API rating.

That said, I'd change ALL the fluids of significance, and save the topping up for windshield washer and PS fluid.

I'd examine the air filter and change if needed. That you can tell visually.

Pull the wheels and examine the brakes. All 4 corners. Examine the wheels for bearing play, the U joints for same.

Examine the frame very closely. Very closely.

Check all lighting systems and accessories for function.

Fill with correct octane non-ethanol fuel and a large bottle of Techron, and run that tank till it's almost empty for a little attention to the fuel system. You can go back to the E-junk after that.

If it were mine, I'd do a compression test (dry/wet/leakdown) and after 5k on my oil change send a sample to Blackstone labs to learn the rest of the health of the internals.

Keep in mind that while it is a Toyota, it's also an uninspected 13 yo 175k vehicle that you have no idea of the history, and treat it as such. IE question everything, and baseline all PM items by doing them yourself.

Hope it works out great for you. One of my fav body styles

Wait - what? There's an in-cabin air filter? Where?
