Yeah I keep what I need but I'm not in business of dealing ammunition. Cabelas has consistently had cci at 8.99 per 50 since last august if you are looking. I used an app that alerts me when it is at 5 cents a round. Ive got more than I could carry now and the black dog 50 round drums for a 1522 let it eat

I was doing some inventory today and oddly enough I found a decent stash of CCI hidden away  Might have to see if I can buy some.

Does anyone know the current laws on front driver/pass window tint? Also, where is a good place to go? I am looking to tint my wife's 4runner and have no idea what it should cost...

I'll ask Aaron..or look at the CRS. I will say, however - I have never been stopped for window tint...the ones who are stopped for it, are usually stopped by an officer who has a gauge to determine the tint level..which isn't common...in addition, it's a minor stop to determine who's inside of the vehicle where the officer may want to learn more on the occupants inside (driver could be suspended / revoked / HTO / wanted...you get the point)

I took mine (and previous vehicles) to "A Touch Above Window Tint" they did a great job, and were fair priced IMO.

    CRS 42-4-227

    (1) (a) (I) Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph (a), no person shall operate a motor vehicle registered in Colorado on which any window, except the windshield, is composed of, covered by, or treated with any material or component that presents an opaque, nontransparent, or metallic or mirrored appearance in such a way that it allows less than twenty-seven percent light transmittance. The windshield shall allow at least seventy percent light transmittance.

(II) Notwithstanding subparagraph (I) of this paragraph (a), the windows to the rear of the driver, including the rear window, may allow less than twenty-seven percent light transmittance if the front side windows and the windshield on such vehicles allow at least seventy percent light transmittance.

    Source: https://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/colorado/

How much depends on how many windows. Last time I checked (a while ago, but more recently than 06 when I had mine done last) it was around $75 for the fronts only. I went to Eclipse in Lafayette, and would go back if I couldn't find a place closer.

This. I've heard of them. If you live in FtC or Loveland you probably have since they're right there on 287 at the south end of FtC and with the vehicles parked out front it's hard to miss. I went in a couple times (been a long while) and asked questions, but just never got a friendly vibe. Helpful, sure, and I did get my receiver shackle there. But Toyotas didn't seem to be their crowd for walk-ins. I'll say that I've seen more than one 'American' truck with Bullhide on the window and nutz on the hitch, and a fair number of jeeps. It wouldn't surprise me that anyone Toyota wouldn't have heard of them from a distance (even Longmont/Denver 'distance').

Forgot to add- it's a secondary stop, not a primary.

OK, I have had matched front to factory rear which I think is 20 or 15%. I have never had an issue but I think Colorado is a little more relaxed. Missouri would rip it out if it were the dark 5% stuff. But, they have a lot less sunny days. I'm not really worried about the ticket but she said she wants it to be legal. I think 35% is almost not worth doing though....

    Thanks for all the info.

My boss at work got pulled over in sheridan for window tint. That was the only thing the cop stated was the problem. The vehicle had out of state plates. I forget if that is something that can carry over state lines.

All of my rides have tinted windows & windshield. Yeah, windshield. Trust me, find a shop who will tint the entire windshield with really light tint (there's even a special film for it but it's spendy) & you will be addicted. You won't notice it much looking at it but it blocks over 90% of the heat energy & UV's and is quite noticeable. The first time you're driving into the sun & don't feel your arms/face getting hot is a weird feeling. So worth it.

Also, don't drive like an asshole or ride dirty & window tint won't be an issue. Most of the time people who get popped for something like window tint are suspected if far worse based on various factors.

    ^^THIS!

I don't have it on my windshield and my fronts are just legal at 35% but it make a lot of difference for UV protection. Not only for the occupants but for the dash, seats, and other trim inside. And the difference between the front at 35% and the factory glass at 20% is hardly noticeable. I bet it would be even less noticeable if you get a light windshield tint too.
