i really like mine so far, i've only had it a few weeks havent seen much rain yet but there is a gap in the front corners that might be an issue when going through a car wash. you can put so much more stuff in the back compared to a regular cap. the only real issue i have with it is that you can't really lock the rear window. there's a bar that just kinda sit on your tailgate and is held by zippers on each side of the rear window. other than that it's a nice set up.

I really like the utilitarian look and feel of a canvas top, but man, I hate that gap between the front of the top and the back of the cab.

Maybe Im being OCD, but it really bothers me. If I want one, Im going to have to look past it!

FWIW for anyone looking to buy one, there is a guy on here in the BST 2nd gen section selling them for $540 a piece.

Alternatively I bought the one at the above eBay link a while back before I realized they were being sold for $540 shipped on the forum.

Made the eBay seller an offer of $540, they countered at $590, I countered at $580 and they accepted. To be honest both the eBay seller and the guy in the BST are selling around same price, both in Pennsylvania and doing FedEx shipping so maybe they are one in the same lol.

I just installed mine on my access cab yesterday. Took a lot of time to get everything zipped up even in 80 degree weather. I think it feels too tight and i will definitely never be able to get the windows out again. But this might just have to replaced because the cap nuts were really weak for the first bolts I put them on. Kind of scared about those, they had very little room to be secured to the frame assembly and some of them just stripped and I had to use regular 1/4" hex nuts. Also, the zipper on one of the windows bent almost 90 degrees on the tab that you pull when i finally got it to zip all the way up.

As for the tightness, I'm wondering if anyone found a way to get some relief. I think the problem is in the length but there is nothing I can do about that short of cutting the frame shorter. Maybe by placing the frame bars a little closer together to aid in the tension in the width will at least be helpful? Maybe the canvas was just not made right? I'm going to try to reinstall today if it doesn't rain and check over all of my steps again. I do love the way it looks though and it feels like it's at home so I'm going to fight to get this thing right. Any ideas out there?

It will settle. I couldn't get my windows zipped up on 1st day of install, took a day or 2. The initial stretch-in of the canvas had me raising an eyebrow as well, but now I can get the windows in/out no problem. Helps to remove the corner closest to the zipper you're working on to get it started, then replace & zip up. Give it a few days.

Thanks - I am hoping that is the case - really don't have time to reinstall this bad boy today anyway! Would like to take it on a road trip this weekend but the rain predicted has me worried. Might put some seam sealer on it to be sure. I figured out the corner pull trick, too, thanks - no way to zip the windows without undoing them. I was worried they may pull off though with all that tension on the corner. I think there's only one bolt holding that tail gate corner piece on so I'm concerned about that. Anyways, I can't believe how much I like the look of this thing and it would be my first covered bed after 14 years of tarps.

EDIT: the heat today did the trick. 90 degrees and sunshine must be the trick. 75 or 80 degrees inb the shade was not enough....
Getting all the zippers open easily now. Plus the stretching of it on the frame today must have helped. Did notice I had some of the zippers off center (did a lot of the install in the dark after an unanticipated break - and was afraid of a rainy night which never came luckily). Also had about 1/4" to move my one frame out by the tail gate to line up right with the other side. I think all the poulling had moved it slightly but it was keeping the tailgate piece from fitting in the curve right. Now just have to see how the tailgate bar is really supposed to look and I'm done. I hope...

OK, all is good now but it appears I will be driving illegally unless I get the 3rd brake light going (actually didn't know that). Not real sure about brake light install and I don' t want to cut into any of my taillight/brake wires because I'm too new with electric work. The requested installation by a professional may be my choice but how did you guys do it? Any pics/vids out there?
