That's what I do with any spray paint cans and has never let me down. Much easier then trying to clean the nozzle of dried up paint. Trick is to turn it upside down spray and at first for 1/2 second or so paint will come out then just air. Soon as you see just air you can stop and the nozzle will be clean for the next time.

I have had to take mine a few times for warranty service and at 100K for the transmission service. I am VERY adamant about them NOT flashing my ECU with the brake override crap. I tell them don't touch that pedal, don't mess with the floormat doohickeys, don't flash my ECU. I bought a truck that had power with the brakes on and when it leaves here it had better be the same way. So far it has worked, but I hate taking it in for anything due to those tech bulletins. There are times where you need both to be working 100% to get out of jambs. Those times thankfully have only happened a couple of times now in 8 years but if I had not had power still wound up and available instantly when I let go of the brake I would have been a member of the accident that happened right in front of me.

I'll say one thing and one thing only....at least you had the marbles to give it a shot. I want a new grille but don't have said marbles to give it the old college try.

    So

I'd consider painting your radiator black so that it doesn't stand out behind the grill. Otherwise not bad, was this your first grill?

I did this a while back with my '09, My suggestion would be to find a scrap metal yard or something and find a thinker mesh to try and hide the radiator a little bit more. this is my '09.

Your is what I was looking for but had hard time to find it. I was thinking to maybe paint my rad too but some Hella black magic behind the grill is the next thing so I'll have to reconsider my options after that.

    Thanks all for your opinion!

This is my first home made one but not the OEM one. I kept it in back up in case I don't like the final result of this one.

Painting it will deff help a lot. good job for being your first one. Ill prolly be getting a spare one to do so I don't have to mess with all that come on the sport grill.

Before I put the side pieces on mine, I test fitted the bumper by essentially bench pressing it and then pulling my knees to my chest and holding it up with my knees to put bolts in. lol.
Then when I put the side pieces on, me and a buddy sat with the whole thing in our laps and lifted it up and rested it on our shoulder to hold it up to slide bolts it.

Needless to say, I'm sure it was hilarious to watch.
