You don't think I haven't experienced it already? Working full time and going to school full time burned me out.

With that being said, I'm going to keep trying as long as possible!

    I'm on the 3rd in 3 years.

    Beat me!
I had the original windshield on my 2000 ranger. Only replaced it to sell it at 12.5 years and 190k miles.
First thing I noticed when I bought the tacoma was that I could see again :D

It is surprising that nobody has invented a tint that would go on the outside of the windshield that would protect against pitting but still is optically correct, zero UV transmission and DOT approved. Like a screen protector for your truck. The shitty thing is that Google is probably processing this message right now and stealing my idea.

And there in lies the problem....
Your arms are burnt from dropping your dubie. :rasta:
I am sure someone smarter then me will chime in if I am wrong but if memory serves me correct your windshield has UV protection in it already. It's in the glass.

AND how the hell are you peeps burning your arms from the windshield light coming in? :frusty:

I'm fair skinned too. But I don't drive with my elbows exposing my forearms to the dash area and the light coming in from the windshield.:D

Can you even see out it?

I replace mine every 3 or so years it seems. And at that point it is so pitted that if I'm driving into the sun or oncoming headlights it seems like I'm looking through the eyes of an insect.

    What haven’t I changed?
This is why I replaced my windshield recently. At the right angle it was like having that annoying kid in class blinding me with the reflection from their watch.

If the front windows remain untinted, the rears can allow for less that 27% light transmittance.

I believe if you want to tint the front, the read windows can't allow less than 27% and the front can't allow less than 70%. If you're legal all around, the windshield can be tinted to allow not less that 70% light transmittance. I had to quote statute to a business when I was quote for my car tint....ended up costing too much.
