What are folks running with these kind of anchors hanging off the front?

I probably have 200lbs in the winch and bumper.

I have tried TRD and Eibach coils with Tundra 5100s. The TRD's were nice riding, but did not provide much lift.

Maybe I got some dud springs, but the Eibach's were off from passenger to driver side by about 1.5".

So - I am looking for something different I suppose. 883s are what I am considering. Anyone else got any other suggestions?

I have a bumper, winch, IFS skid with OME 883 coils around 5100's. I have been toying with the idea of moving up to the 620lb Eibach coils...My truck nose dives badly during heavy braking. Lots of body roll too, but that is also because I removed my sway bar.

Thanks for the input. One of my options was to switch to a coilover.

Interesting feedback on the 883s. Did you get 3" of lift out of them? I wish you better luck with the Eibachs than I had. I am almost curios if I got a dud set or something.

I think I got around 2 inches out of them. My front end is very heavy though. What do you not like about the Eibachs?

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
I've got no problems with the 883s w/ the 10mm spacer.. holds the weight just fine, no issues cornering/braking.. gives me 'bout 2.75" lift

I've got an ARB, Superwinch ep9, and full skids

The Eibachs were 1" ~ 1.5" higher on the passenger side than the drivers side. The best guess I could get out of them was that my rear springs were forcing the front end down. In my mind, would not account for the variance between the two sides, which as my main problem. There is no inordinate weight distribution that would have accounted for this in my mind either.

For full disclosure - the problem I was having with my Eibachs was on my 1998 4runner, but when I swapped them over to my 2002 Taco Doublecab (with no front bumper, winch, skids) they gave me about 3" of lift with about .5" of variance between the passenger and drivers side.

As much as I would like to give them another try and hope I got a dud set, I do not want to dump another $180 into a set of unsuitable springs.

Interesting. Glad to hear of the success with the 883s. I may just pick up some used COs. At least if I get the variances described above, I will have some ability to adjust.

Maybe I should add the 10mm spacer? Which shocks do you have?

COs are definitely nice b/c of the adjustability, but $$$
The spacer will give you a 1/2" of lift back, but won't prevent the nose diving issue. How many miles on your 883? Maybe they're a little tired? I've got the NitroSports

Yeah - I have always shied away from the COs because of the cost. After two different sets of springs on the 5100s though, I am caving.

I found a used set on here for $460. That is not too much more than I wwas going to pay for a new set of 883s and shocks to go with them. We will see how it goes. I sure hope this is the last of my front suspension mods for a little while.

They've got ~9000 miles on them. Would going to nitro chargers help?

Yea that's not too expensive.. Depending on brand and specs.., GL with it!
9k is not alot of miles.. Buuut OME coils are generally only used with OME shocks.. Changing shocks def won't help the lift height, but might help with the handling. The Nitro Sports are valved a little stiffer iirc. I'm surprised you have so much weight up front, thought the tube bumper didn't weigh all that much..
