Yeah they are that bad. Once again ford has over thought and designed how a diesel should work. you can barely get to anything without taking apart something else. oh and they went back to a vacuum brake booster.

Hey its easy to just yank the cab off anytime you have to work on the engine... Everything about those trucks is a pile of crap except for the front axle. I don't understand why people get such a hard on over the ford trucks, overpriced piles of crap.

Rear 70 has an Elocker which is sweet. But yeah the oil pan is only 2 inch's higher than the front axle and guess what the lower half is made of plastic.

One thing at a time, sheesh!

I may have to resort to running my old ATO track bar for Jambo next weekend. It's not the best, but it'll do in a pinch.

The new shocks are on, and it looks like I'll clear the tire and the frame. Need to extend my bumpstops up a couple inches to account for how much they squish, but I'm getting closer.

Ford is still the only diesel I would buy if I was buying brand new. And I'm an avid Ford hater.

Because anything with the word Duramax in it is way too fucking overpriced and the new Allisons are nothing to write home about. Dodge somehow managed to make the ugliest fucking truck I've ever seen in my life and the 6.7 has been extremely underwhelming everytime I've driven one. As far as Ford being a pain in the ass to work on, that's what the warranty is for.

Now if I was buying a used diesel, 24v 5.9 common rail all day long.

I can't stand them. I like the boxy look of the newer Fords. The 3rd gen Dodge is still my favorite body style ever for a full size. I loved my 5.9

Just gotta stay on top of the front axle and transmission maintenance and she'll run forever!
