    Tons of work but enjoyable work. I plan on taking on more projects. Table was easier because the farmhouse style is rustic.

    Table measures 84" long, 39" wide. 4x4, 2x4, 2x8 and a single 2x10 for the center board.

    Got tired of the plywood routine for my jon boat. Too much extra weight. Picked up 2 4x8' sheets of solid foamular, cut with a utility knife to fit, glued together with foam adhesive, then covered with 1/4" rubber mat from tractor supply. Surprisingly sturdy and tured out nice! Still needs to settle out from being rolled up for a while, and some minor trimming.

    I'd estimate 50-75 lbs? That might be a stab in the dark. The foam weighs like nothing, so really the mat is the heaviest part, which isn't much. That weight compared to 3/8" marine grade plywood with 2x4 supports, big difference!

    Doing some experimenting with 3D printing today. I'm printing an insert for my cup holder that will hold pneumatic switches for my lockers. I'm using black ABS for the print, and it's only going to take 8 hours to print. :rofl:

    We'll see how it turns out.

    My co-teacher put in for a grant last year to get a 3d printer and a CNC router for our graphics lab. We ended up getting both, but she doesn't know how to use either one of them, nor do I....but now I really want to learn. Can't let these things go to waste.

    So far it's pretty damn easy. Which printer do you have? I'm using a makerbot. Just need a 3d model with an .stl file type. Makerbot does the rest.

    Here's the progress so far. I'm printing it upside down.

    The two holes will hold the pneumatic valves for the lockers. I'll cut out the bottom of one of the cup holders and run all of my air lines out the bottom of the cab.

    To be honest I haven't a clue, I'll check it out on Monday. I don't usually teach out of that room very often but I'll get all the info about when I'm back at work.

    I cut the stickers on a Roland GX-24. It's a drag knife cutter. The vinyl feeds through in one plane and the blade moves in the opposite plane. Basically it can cut any 2D shape you want.
