My Ebay special corner lights are holding up just fine. They have been on there for a good 3+ years, this baby has its own spot in the garage so the sun is no problem. Funny because the '13 Nissan and Chevy Truck daily drivers in our house are already getting yellow plastic syndrome but the 16 year old Tacoma still looks good :D

Yeah. I didn't see any movement with it jacked up but the boot had definitely lost all of it's grease. Looking at Camelback Toyota, the right LBJ is $95 and the left LBJ is $86.

It looks like it's just 4 bolts and the castle nut to remove and replace. How difficult of a job is it?

Eh it's prolly good for a little while still but I would definitely replace it cause once that grease is gone out of the boot then it will wear a lot quicker and eventually break. (Kind of same concept as a cv axle)

Yep 4 bolts and a castle nut, then a few good wacks of a hammer.

You have the tire mounted yet? Be curious about how it handles the weight while driving. What Id be concerned with if anything. Otherwise I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm not too concerned about on-the-road driving yet but my offroad club's open house is May 16. Last thing I want to do is emulate Monty.

I agree that would definitely suck.

I have a belt squeak in the morning/wet/cold.. How can I tell when my belt is tight enough/just right?

That is the single best design I've seen for one of these yet! I like the execution and simplicity of it. Stop giving me ideas, my wallet just recovered from total empty syndrome and I think you just made it pop its stitches.
