Insurance companys will push for this. As safety systems continue to advance and 'auto pilot' features get more common, it only makes sence that laws like this will pass. As for me, I may allow it in my garage or I may just stick with older cars. Who knows.

I ran across this video while doing some more research on this subject.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=oqe6S6m73Zw#t=2

It is my belief that situations expressed in the video above will only help push congress to have this bill cover the intellectual properties of the auto manufactures software to become copyright protected and should also encourage them to take further measures to insure that their vehicles are harder to "hack" into. I can only imagine the chaos that would ensue in a large metropolitan which became under an attack such as this. With the upcoming technologies and the promise of the automated vehicle from companies such as Ford, Audi, Google, and Tesla, these fears must be recognized and addressed by these corporations before they become a reality.

Below is a link to the report about the above video for further insight to these software breech.

The enemy is not big corporations, the enemy is big government. Corporations are controlled by the people who elect to purchase their products. Big government is way beyond the people's control when you have a president who rules by executive order and not by the constitution. When presidential appointees are given powers and become czars and are responsible to nobody, that is your enemy. You can't stop buying an administration that is failing the people and put it out of power, but you can buy a different product from a different business.

this is true, but GM and government lie in the same bed... even if we don't buy their product the gov will help them at our cost. while you are right in every case, GM has always had the government to fall back on... my thinking is the government will screw us for GM...again.

This is a great statement here. Not only is it true but it applies to our current tyrannical style government which attempts to impose it's power in every aspect of our every move in our everyday lives.

The only thing you can modify on said horse is the type of hay tou feed it and the muzzle that may or may not be over it's face.

Even if it were to become a legal thing which I dont think it will. Guns and drugs are illegal yet they still mange to be used and get around

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I seriously don't see this happening, even it it did, it wouldn't change a thing. People would still modify and customize their vehicles. Just like trying to take guns away, it'll never happen, people will still have them regardless of what the law says.

No offense but....starting a sentence with "No offense but...." is like saying "I'm not a racist but......"

Since this thread will likely get locked anyway.........
