Ok, the larger MAF sensor O-ring number we are sending out is -120 in Viton.

After all this talk about poor fitment I went and checked mine. Definitely not as tight as it's supposed to be (per the upside down comment above). Emailed Jon to get the new o-ring, got a reply 7 minutes later saying one is in the mail. While I doubt it's actually in the mail already, that's about the best customer service I could have asked for. A+

Anything sales related needs to go to sales@crawfordperformance.com, assuming you want Jon to ship it out ;)

You can also send an email straight to Jon at jon@crawfordperformance.com and he will take care of you.

If you send it to technical then you better be sure it is a technical question or the mad scientist there will usually delete your mail :D

Thanks for your concern... signing off for the night

I received my Eco block today and installed it immediately. I immediately noticed a pre-detention at lean cruise. So I removed the Eco block and the condition went away.

I reinstalled and checked for any leaks at all RPMs, none were found. I checked my LTFT and STFt and I was +- 2%. But under lean cruise I was way out of range. Again I checked for leaks and none were found.

The block essentially leans out the mixture and for my 2012 v6 it was too lean on 93 octane. This is troubling given the low ambient temp and octane of fuel tested. This lean condition could cause severe damage as the noise produced is not noticeable at normal cruise speed of 65-70. The noise is only audible at over 75 with the motor cover removed. But when you know what to listen for the noise is audible at speeds below 70 with the motor cover installed. Given variation in engine and sensors I would not recommend this mod without a wide band O2 to verify.

I will be returning my block first thing Monday morning. I would like to repeat that I have extensively tested for air leaks at the block and none are present. I have verified LTFT and STFT with the block installed and not installed, there is definitely a lean condition and non present when not installed. This was verified by a Toyota tech using a Toyota Tech Line.

You will notice MPG and power increases with this block but you are doing so under the assumption the your ECU can compensate for the lean condition while at no load and under load and without the proper tools you may not be able to detect a condition that has the potential to harm your engine. The stock tune is rather rich under heavy load conditions but under a lean cruise condition you are lean. Adding to that lean condition in my case was outside of the ECus ability to compensate and given my previous experience this may or more likely not throw a trouble code. For me personally it is not worth the risk of drivetrain longevity.

So you are basically saying you can hear pinging? What are you using to check long and short term trims? Also, when you say "way out of range" what were the readings?

Pre ignition detonation does not sound like pinging. It sounds like shaking a can of spray paint. It sounds like something metal is rattling together.

Used a Toyota Techstream with a Toyota tech riding shotgun.

I did not ask for the exact number but it was as far +LTFT as the ECU can throw at it.
