Fixed my brakes this morning. That's all good now. Went to harbor freight and got an air hammer to drive that bolt through. Got home, spring is missing from the hammer and it just generally doesn't work. Fuck me. I'll return it later. It's pouring down rain and since I work in the driveway, I'm dead in the water at the moment

Went to home depot right around the corner and got a different air hammer. It drove the bolts right in. I'll return this HF POS later this week.

Still have to lift the bed which means pulling my crossbed tool box and my spare battery. They'll have to wait till I have a little more free time withought rain.

It's progressing, just slowly and with a constant struggle. Hopefully these chronicles will help anyone that's deciding if they want to do this in the future

4tires mounted with Equal inside. Gotta find a 5th valve stem for the spare.

Getting closer. HOPEFULLY this time next weekend they'll be on. I still have to lift the bed which should be easy once I get my tool box and battery out of the way.

The cab mount relocation kit came in. I've got TC spindle and bucket gussets waiting to go on. Hopefully the bucket gusset will work with my LR Uppers.

Who rebuilds CVs with better boots? Mine are starting to puke grease. Probably from all the heat and friction when I drove from Charleston Sc to Dallas Tx earlier this month non-stop

Thank you for tossing out the uncensored heartaches you are going through fitting 37's on. I feel like many people on this site forget all the troubles after they successfully install something. When they post they make the install seem as simple as following steps 1,2, and 3.

I went from 33's to 37's before lunch. Really, it took less than 5 hours to clearance everything, install ARP wheel studs, and go till some earth. Of course, I cheated and already had glass and LT installed, but still it wasn't hard at all.

OP, SDHQ has the primo boots, and they are a vendor (TW discount) http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/tacomacvbootkits.aspx

Yeah nothing here should be as difficult as it's been. But some projects just like to fight every step of the way.

I think my truck is pissed that after 200+k miles of loyal service I'm hacking it up for bigger tires.

Maybe it has a right to be

Hah! Yeah maybe she's cranky with you. You'll get it done, and it's good to take your time and do it right the first time.

Those are what I originally wanted, but I got 5 37s for the price of 2 36s

I did, but I would have needed new 16" wheels for the 36s. Factory wheels don't have enough backspace and I don't trust spacers.
