So normally when you pull back on the wiper switch the most will spray and the wipers will turn on until you let go.

On my truck, 2008 Tacoma, when I pull the "mist" switch the spray comes but I have to manually activate the wipers separately.

    Is this normal?

Maybe a bad relay? Its more than likely on the inside fuse panel, you could try bypassing the relay with a jumper to see if thats the problem, normally they activate together when you pull the lever toward you

I thought it was supposed to. Anyone know which relay and exactly where it is?

This is normal for the non-intermittent wiper switch. The intermittent switch activates the wipers for a short period of time after using the washer fluid. I noticed the difference when I replaced my switch with the intermittent switch on my 2014 regular cab.

That's a weird feature. So how do I get it to do what I want?

Funny, the Subaru guys had a mod to get them to work this way. Never quite understood it--something about how getting tons of fluid on the windshield before the wipers swipe was helpful sometimes.

This...my 14 worked this way until I replaced the wiper control with an intermittent controller. Now the blades operate when the switch is pulled to activate the washer.
