How is my quote a shot at anything? I think you meant my later post about the lights.

    That's what she said.

But no. Seriously. I'm mocking up the locations for projector components and I'm wondering... Can anyone identify the red sensor thing with the foam around it near the battery and also the yellow cable that terminates just under the battery?

I'm starting to customize my Tacoma I've had for about a year. I've dipped the badges and am unsure what to do next. I'd like to just stick to plasti dip or any other cheap modifications. Any tips?image.jpgimage.jpg

Get rid of chrome, it'll make it look a lot better, maybe even the rims

I don't recommend dipping the wheels. That seems to be real hit or miss with people's results.

I don't recommend dipping at all, it looks better and will last if you rattle can with some primer

Don't know about red sensor thing, but the yellow cable and sensor is part of the airbag system. I'm trying to figure airbag system out since I'm getting tired of the airbag light flashing.

The red thing in the foam is the beeper for your keyless entry. Best thing I ever did was unplug that little bastard (keyless entry and alarm will still work, and the lights still flash). The yellow sensor is the accelerometer for your airbag deployment, as mentioned above.

    Cheap performance/useful mods:
    -cap off small resonator
    -deck plate mod
-AFE air filter (kind of not cheap..)
    -led dome light
-grey wire mod (if you have diff lock/4wd)
    -2lo mod
    -steering coupling/column weld mod

    Cheap appearance mods:
    -Debadge/black out all chrome
-remove lower plastic part of bumper
    -side marker/turn signal relocation

and yea i personally think rims look better black but thats me.

I'd have been happy for 16-17 MPG about a month ago. Now for some reason my MPG improved and I'm pulling 18-20 MPG. I was getting 13-14 MPG for the longest time. Also what happened to that Acura you were using to avoid driving the bad MPG Taco?
