I work with 95% boys, and the other day I asked them if any of them knew what a come-a-long was... So far 2 out of 20 knew! I couldn't believe it, and when trying to explain it, 6 of them knew what a winch was!! So I'm curious, how many people think that the majority of people they see everyday know what a come-a-long and a winch are!

They are just a bunch of young boys (20-27 years old) who work in the food services department at a hospital. I'm the department secretary.

I think most of my friends know what those are, but some of my coworkers would only know what a winch is (if they even knew what that was).

That may be why they don't know, but I knew what those things were since I was young.

Oh, and Ali try not to leave yourself signed into TW and when you are away form your computer. ;)

    It's basically a manual winch.

I know I still feel SO bad about that! And the crappy thing is that I can't guarantee it won't happen again because sometimes they will wheel me away in my chair and try to change my facebook status! ugh! Try being the only girl in a huge group of guys. I get picked on like you wouldn't believe!

Haha, it was pretty funny. Don't worry, there is always some one on here where it would get caught right away. At least before the rest of us nozzles would have fun with it.

It really depends on where you are talking about. Out in the small towns that are so small you could call a Village, everyone knows what they are, even the grandmas. Come to the big city and damn near no body knows what a come-a-long is.

    That's not fair really...

Just because they're men doesn't mean they're gonna know about that stuff.

Not all men are into 4WD, offroading, towing, hauling, dirt, automobiles or other related things.

Now this is true. Some get their kicks out driving to the local Nordstrom's or Saks Fifth Ave. in their F-350 mall crawler that doesn't have a hitch nor a fifth wheel and buy a new pair of 300 dollar pre-worn, designer jeans.
