Did you happen to notice the question on that Amazon page where someone asks if it would fit a Tacoma and then got linked to it fitting a 3rd gen 4Runner. Looks like it would be a pretty easy job, no cutting (besides the fender) necessary. Here is the link BTW.... Again I say... go for it! Looks pretty damn good on there too

I didn't do anything to mine. It stayed and just shrunk.
Yes, I have drooled over that link many times! Only thing is, the 4R has a slightly different fender design than we have. Their crease goes straight out while ours turn down.

If that snorkel works, I'll do it for sure! That's like 1/3 the price or so

Yeah! The only thing that gets me is the fitment. It will definitely be functional, just not sure on the look. I'm doing a bit more research tonight before I make a final decision.

All my signatures just shrunk as well

With regards to the snorkel, there is one review on there that says it worked perfectly with the 2000 tacoma so it should work with any 1st gen

Oh, hmm I never noticed that the 4Runners had a different crease, I was just comparing the 4Runner to my trucks fender and it looks like it may be back far enough to be a moot point, but even after our crease flattens out a bit, it is still kinda curvy. Maybe some 4Runner fenders too?

Because it is some heavy moolah for vacuum molded plastic. These would be much more affordable if someone bites the bullet and tries em.

Because ARB is $400+ This is <$200. High school budget isn't that big for a piece of plastic.
