A random company called Anthracite Adventures moved in and took over a goods portion of it, and banned all Shooting/Drinking/Camping/Fun on their part, but supposedly they didn't get the whole area, so we need to do some recon to find out what they have and dont have. and they charge quite a bit more than Rausch creek too, and require thier sticker on painted portions of the truck

Well y'all I did my routine oil change today and the frame doesn't look pretty... unless you find rust attractive. The inside of the frame definitely has rust and I could flake off some decent size pieces of rust with just my hand. I wanted to take a grinder / steel wheel to the rust and re-paint the frame but I don't know if I'll be able to reach certain areas... and I definitely cannot get to the internal rust. Might have to start looking at 2016s or try to get a good price on 2015 at the end of the year :/

From the looks of their site, Anthracite is a few dollars cheaper. And a sticker on the paint isn't bad if its removed within a week or so. I am down to check out Shamokin though.
I would but I am at WORK!! :anonymous:

Coating isn't going to do anything for the internal rust though, that's my concern

Some people have good results with spraying products like fluid film inside the open areas of the boxed portions of the frame. I understand its a bandaid, but it buys you a few years :)

This is a fair point, if the 2015 came in SWB I'd buy one this fall, if I hold out for a 2017 it's a dice roll on whether I'll like the Gen3... decisions decisions hah

Huh, My math must be off then, as IIRC Raush is $40 per day and Anthracite is $55 per day

I don't start work until May 20th before then I just have random days blocked out for training with the FD and other appointments. Sundays and Mondays are fine for me for the time being.
