whoops lol, well do first gen tundra UCA's fit on a first gen tacoma

 

I don't think so. I believe they are a tad wider.

 

Yea I'm picking up a DTF type C here pretty soon and then fiberglass next year at some point, hoping they have bumper caps by then. If not I'm considering the '05-'11 caps and just cut them to fit and then have a fiberglass guy fill in what's missing, or just see how well I can cut them to fit and see how it looks.

 

The tundra uca bolt is about 1" longer. When we installed my burg lt kit and TC uca/co gussets the stick bolt sat on threads a bit. The solution wa using a tundra uca bolt. So I woul agree that the tundra ucas should be a tad wider.

I ran into the Dirt Every Day guys from Motor Trend out here at the dunes yesterday. They were playing around in a couple of TRD Pro Tundras. They started filming me after a while though. I wish I had 35's and a front LT kit. I just don't have enough front travel to dampen hard landings and my 33's let my diff skid hit the ground at full stuff...

But I found a sweet spot here and had some pretty smooth landing



The bigger whoops still kick my ass but they were kicking my cousins ass on his dirtbike and he's been riding for almost 20 years now. My rear valving is much better. I'm running a 15 stack with a 20 flutter and I'm using all of my travel through the whoops... so I guess I need to move up to a 20 stack... I'll post some videos later and see if you valving gurus can see what you think.

 

For those of you that have trimmed your glass fenders, did you use a pneumatic auto body saw or a cutoff wheel?

 

Cut off wheel. Zips right through. Just be sure to cover up or you'll itch for days.

The body saw will work just as well fyi. Might be easier on the curves or on tighter corners.

 

I need to get my hands on one to see where the frames are stretched. What I have might work, but I need to find out first on a dclb

Are you worried at all about being pulled over for having red/blue lights? Obviously you wont be running the led on the roads but just curious.

 

Air body saw is by far the best way to cut glass. Cutoff wheel can totally work but never comes out as good

 

X2. Saw was the best tool I used. Wear ear plugs. Loud as fuck.
