Hi everyone. I'm sorry for the extremely late replies / updates. We've been on top of all phone calls and orders, but e-mail and forum message volume has been very heavy as of late. • The 16x8" / -25mm offset Five Stars spokes are slightly more concave vs. the 17x8.5" / -6mm offset Five Star spokes (said differently, the 17" Five Star spokes are slightly flatter). This is due to the more extreme (negative) offset of the 16x8" / -25mm.
• The 16" wheels definitely clear the 2014 Tacoma brakes without any issues.

The 16x8" / -25mm offset Five Star fitment (which is what NYCO is referring to below) is very aggressive with stock suspension. In my opinion 16x8" / -25mm offset is too aggressive to use with stock suspension, and works best with 1.75"+ lift in the front and at least 265/75R16 tires.

The 17x8.5" / -6mm offset Five Star fitment is not too aggressive to use with stock suspension, but would also work better / look better with at least a 1.75" lift in the front and 265/70R17 tires. If you were to use the wheels with 265/70R17 tires and stock suspension you would have rubbing on the front mud flaps, front fender liner (Pre-2012 front fender liner, and just the small aero flap on 2012+ Tacoma), and possibly the inside corners of the front bumper and front over fender (easy fix with minor trimming or rolling with heat gun). You will not rub the chassis / frame at all with 265/75R16 or 265/70R17.

Thank you too for your input and tips too! The fitment will be very, very similar between the 17x8" / -10mm offset Countersteer Type X and the 17x8.5" / -6mm offset Five Stars.

More pics! I think the 17" wheel on a nice tire is the best looking size with the long beds.
